Abstrakt: |
The article presents a student activity on using hair color to establish a clear connection between genotype and phenotype. According to the author, the activity clarifies the definition of mutation and expands the understanding of students on alleles and the most common mechanism of dominance. The author recommends that students asking about evolutionary changes in morphology should be told that genes are passed from parents to offspring and are subject to occasional mutations. |
