The authors discuss the neglected tropical diseases (NTD) in India and South Asia. They provide an overview of the several NTDs including helminth infections, such as soil-transmitted helminth infection, protozoan infections, such as visceral leishmaniasis (VL), and neglected bacterial infections, like the leprosy. They also review the NTDs' prevalence, distribution, and control or elimination. |
