The article presents a study to compare the global and component sum of shortwave measurements and illustrate the magnitude and seasonality of radiation flux measurement problems. It investigates the problem of rime/frost/snow deposition using shortwave and longwave measurements. It proposes solutions to operational problems that use measurement redundancy, heating and ventilation strategies and operational support on data quality protocols. |
