Abstrakt: The article discusses the measurements of the water vapor content in the atmosphere with the optical method. It provides an overview the different methods of determination of the empirical parameters that are necessary for the retrieval. It talks about the use of MODRAN-4 program package for different model atmospheres to simulate the atmospheric absorption by water vapor in order to calculate the empirical parameters.
