Abstrakt: This paper presents a new analysis sliding mode control (SMC) of the induction motor. First considering third order induction motor drive, study reaching time of phase trajectory to switching surface as the plane lead the phase trajectory to reference input and then will obtain setting time of rotor speed in method sliding mode control. As well as will prove reaching time of rotor speed phase trajectory to switching surface and reference input independent of rotor and stator resistances. By studying setting time of same induction motor drive with PD (proportional-derived) controller will get minimum value "k" , for that setting time of SMC method less than PD control method. The result using the simulation with Simulink Matlab presents accuracy of all analysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
