The article examines the feasibility of employing the cost-benefit analysis to minimize the collateral consequences of convictions. It cites as example the work done by the Vera Institute of Justice in North Carolina. The Youth Accountability Planning Task Force has requested the institute's cost-benefit analysis unit (CBAU) to evaluate the costs and benefits of the plan to raise the age of juvenile jurisdiction. |
