This paper presents a simplified approach of model construction directly from the process plan. With the model constructed, the relevant process links between any two surfaces can be easily determined. Unlike other methods, it does not require transcribing the link information into constraint equations. The formation of the constraint equations is made easier by direct read-out from the model. The constraint equations can then be solved by using LINDO (a linear programming optimization software) to generate the working dimensions and tolerances. An example is included for illustration of the method presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
