The article presents information on the annual BBC World Service Country Rating Poll of 27 countries around the world, according to which views about the U.S. continue to show an improvement in 2011. The survey showed that 18 countries held predominantly positive views of the U.S., seven held negative views, and two were divided. Positive views of Brazil's influence increased from 40 to 49 percent over the previous year, and in Great Britain, positive ratings rose to 58 percent. |
