The article discusses the need for in-house lawyers to become members of senior leadership or executive teams to ensure corporate compliance of reporting requirements. It notes that value demonstration can be provided by corporate legal departments through the reduction of legal risk and external legal expenditure and the attainment of timely resolution for legal problems. It mentions that the pursuit of operational improvements can be made effective by good benchmark data. |
