Abstrakt: The article presents a study on the interplay between spontaneous brain activity and brain responses during human non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep. It notes that the findings of the study reveal that the brain responses to auditory stimulation continue during NREM sleep especially during sleep spindles. Endogenous information are processed during spindle activity which allow a functional isolation of brain circuits and facilitate cellular interactions involved in brain plasticity.
