| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study on the soft bottom macrofauna at the Arctic fjord Hornsund in the west coast of Spitsbergen in Norway. The researchers gathered the material for sampling during cruises of RV Oceania in July in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2007. They sieved the material onboard through a 0.5 millimeter mesh and fixed in buffered 4 percent formaldehyde. They found that the Arctic fauna is highly dominated by bivalves and polychaetes. |
