Abstrakt:	The article presents a study on the intersective gradience of possessive modifiers in the development from Latin to Italian. It explores the similar synthetic features of pronominal (preN) possessives and atonic pronouns, and post nominal (post-N) possessives with adjectives and tonic pronouns. Comparison on the syntactic hybridity in the development of the central-southern Italian dialects and Spanish is also discussed.
