The Bank of Canada (BOC), the central bank, expressed confidence that economic growth would resume in the second half of the year, though it warned that lower wealth and incomes could cause the pace of investment and consumption to moderate. Residents of British Columbia rejected a controversial sales tax in a referendum. |
