Properties of the Ferroelectric PBZT Ceramics Admixed with Niobium.

Abstrakt: The results of investigations of the ferroelectric ceramics of the PBZT-type with the Nb5+ admixture and the chemical composition (Pb0.84Ba0.16)(Zr0.54Ti0.46)0.98Nb0.02O3 (PBZTN) are presented. The PBZTN ceramic samples were obtained by a free sintering method (FS). The investigations of XRD patterns, microstructure (SEM), the domain structure (TEM), dielectric, piezoelectric properties and P-E hysteresis loops were made. The obtained results have shown that the niobium admixture into the base composition of the PBZT leads to improvement of the electrophysical parameters, and to the decrease of the ferroelectric hardness.
