Abstrakt: The article examines the foreign policy and relations of India. Some factors that motivated India to engage in global diplomacy are the rapid economic growth and the end of the Cold War political constraints. It cites indications of India's reluctance to exert influence in global geopolitics, including the Middle East uprisings and isolation of Iran and Burma. Analysts view the foreign policy of India as poorly developed and limited, hindering the country from achieving great power status.
