Abstrakt:	The article discusses the 2011 U.S. security policy on Afghanistan. U.S. President Barack Obama emphasized that the Afghan government will soon increasingly assume the lead on security as the U.S. reduces its military forces in the country. The basic pillars of U.S. and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) security strategy, still in place since 2001, will still be enforced until the transition is complete.
