The article presents four letters that explore the beginnings of psychoanalysis in China. One of the letters describes the experience of the writer of meeting her Chinese colleagues when she attended the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA) conference entitled "Evolution and Change: Psychoanalysis in the Asian Context" in Beijing in October 2010. In another letter, the writer observed that psychoanalysis in China is widely misunderstood by the public and the mental health workers. |
