A literary criticism of several graphic novels is presented including "The 'Nam" by Doug Murray, "The Other Side" by Jason Aaron, and "Vietnam Journal" by Don Lomax. It examines how each of these comics reflects the American experience in the Vietnam War and discusses ways in which the format was used as a recruiting tool by the U.S. military to appeal to young readers. |
