| Abstrakt: |
Cataloging today gathers the present information technologies with another set of cataloging rules based on technologies that are now decades past. The paper describes the changes occurring in the bibliographic description as a result of the influence of new technologies of information and communication. It also concludes that it is required an unified vision allowing to harness the collective strength as the struggle interacts as equal with the key players in the fast-paced information age.
