Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study group comprised of teachers at the William Allen School in Rochester, New Hampshire that reportedly led to changes in their teaching of writing. These teachers include Donna Cushing, Kiley Hemphill, and Kathy Prewitt. The study group was reportedly formed as the teachers were plagued to comply with numerous state mandates and at the same time, not compromising what they think is important to teach writing and build habits of lifelong literacy.
