| Abstrakt: |
The article summarizes literature on the efficacy of antidepressant treatment in patients with alcohol and substance use disorders. Statistics which show the prevalence of diagnosable substance use disorders are presented. The two outcomes which tend to be examined by pre-clinical studies of potential treatments for substance dependence are discussed. Also described are two meta-analyses which have looked at the treatment of dual diagnoses. |
