Effects of implant positioning in cementless total hip replacements.

Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study about the impact of implant positioning on cementless total hip replacements (THRs). It says that the study uses a mesh morphing-based framework consists of femur geometry from computed tomography (CT) data virtually implanted with the Furlong HAC titanium alloy stem in a baseline neutral position. It was found out that the framework can assess implant stability for it shows the best and worst implant positions and the orientations that lead to higher micromotion.
