| Abstrakt: |
The concluding chapter of the book "Performing Violence: Literary and Theatrical Experiments of New Russian Drama" is presented. It explores the background and implications of New Drama works in post-Soviet culture particularly in relation to violence. Shown mostly in venues with a maximum audience of 100 persons at a time, the communicative violence in New Drama plays replaces the failed Soviet power structures. Film expressions of New Drama are shown in Kinoteatr.doc and in the works of Igor Voloshin, Bakur Bakuradze and Boris Khlebnikov. |
