| Abstrakt: |
The main purpose of this study was to find out the desirable leadership qualities of the Secondary school head teachers as viewed by the teachers. The teachers of The Educators (Secondary Schools) of Lahore district constituted the population for this study. One hundred teachers from 10 randomly selected schools were selected as sample by stratified random sampling technique. A structured questionnaire was developed for the purpose of data collection. Through this questionnaire, opinion of the teachers about the leadership qualities of Secondary school head teachers was collected. The main findings of the study revealed that majority of the head teachers take interest in matters concerning with the community education, social affairs of the society and welfare of the area and they also discuss educational problems with the community members. Findings of the study also revealed that they provide educational guidance to the community and teachers, they get the opinion of the teachers in school administrative matters and give importance to others' opinion while planning. They maintain co-ordination among the teachers, students, educational organization and the members of the society for educational progress. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
