Communication Skills and Self-esteem Level of Preschool Teacher Trainees.

Abstrakt: Self confidence and communication skills of the preschool teacher are considered to be major factors in becoming an effective teacher. This study is concerned with examining communication skills and self-esteem levels of prospective preschool teachers. Participants were 250 university students who were attending early childhood graduate programs. Communication Skills Evaluation Scale, Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale and Family Assessment Device were used to collect data. In the light of the study results it is suggested that self-esteem can be altered the way which teacher candidate thinks about their communication skills. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
