Abstrakt: This article presents letters exchanged between the editor of the periodical and its readers. These letters discuss issues related to grammar and usage in the English language. One letters focuses on a paper related to the use of possessives with gerunds. Another letter was related to usage of the definite article the with income tax in reference to the paper "The Oxford Book of Days" that was published in the January 9, 2002 issue of the periodical. According to the reader, in the year 1799 one still spoke of the income tax, in contrast to the modern income tax constructed without the article as if it were a force of nature.
