| Abstrakt: |
The purpose of this paper is to present a program that is currently being used to teach communication skills to retarded individuals. The program is based on an operant analysis of language and uses shaping procedures to train each skill. Sample training programs for two skills, encourage-to-talk and on-topic questions, are presented.
