Abstrakt: The authors reflect on the prevalence of syphilis among young, ethnic and racial men who have sex with men (MSM) in the U.S. Referencing the study from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, they say that such event, including HIV, may be the result of the alienation that these men perceived when disclosing their sexual orientation. Moreover, this requires expansion in medical training system to provide culturally competent health care for sexual and gender minority needs.
