The article presents a political outlook for Canada for 2011-15. It expects a more stable political environment for the country during the forecast period as a result of the government's new majority status in parliament. It notes that Prime Minister Stephen Harper is facing more control in pursuing his policy agenda due to a lack of a strong opposition. Particular focus is given to Canadian involvement in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)-led intervention in Libya, along with the importance of access to the U.S. market for Canada. |
