Abstrakt: | The article focuses on the significance of performance pay as a path for the improvement of teachers in the U.S. It notes that the existing incentives for teachers whose students gain high test scores are attributed to the assumptions about the teachers' motivation. It points out that the federal government reshapes the country's local education policy to greater extent than before. The use of test scores in measuring student achievement is also mentioned. |
