Application of Image Analysis for Classification of Ripening Bananas.

Abstrakt: The article discusses a study which aimed to implement a standardized computer vision system to characterize quantitatively color changes during ripening of bananas. It also aimed to identify features of interest that can be related with ripening stages, such as development of brown spots and textural features of the images. A statistical model using selected features to identify the 7 ripening stages of bananas was also developed.
