Abstrakt: The article discusses a study which investigated the influence of the addition of nonreactive silicone oil or semianchored silicone polymer on crosslinked poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) rubber-rubber adhesion. Results show that polymer-polymer demixing, is another factor that influences tack and that it causes the free chains to appear at the surface forming a layer of oil, which then destroys the tack of the PDMS samples.
