Abstrakt: The article discusses a study which investigated the relationship between ultrasonic signals and crystallization of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET). It notes the use of a pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) device in examining the nonisothermal and isothermal crystallization of virgin PET. Results of the study the potential use of ultrasonic signals in probing the process of crystallization, as well as the characterization of crystallization rate and crystallite size.
