The article presents a study on the photostability of isotactic polypropylene (PP) with monoazo pigment. For the study, researchers conducted the photodegradation of isotactic PP films with a monoazo pigment and blocked amine light stabilizers (HALS). They observed that unstabilized PP films degraded following a 240-hour irradiation. They also found that the photostability of the films grew to the 1500-hour level by including an organic pigment along with antioxidants and HALS. |
