Abstrakt: The article discusses the results of a study which investigated the medical device application of diisopropyl xanthogen polysulfide (DIXP) accelerator for bromobutyl elastomer (BIIR-DIXP) and the crosslinking reaction mechanism. The study methods are described, including the use of head space gas chromatography mass spectroscopy (GC-MS) and coupled thermogravimetric infrared analysis to determine the volatile chemical species.
