The article reports on the economic status of Brazil as of 2010. Brazil is Latin America's largest economy and the world's eighth largest, with its gross national income of 1.6 trillion U.S. dollars. Its exports of commodities like oil, iron ore, soy, beef, chicken, sugar and automobiles have reached 202 billion U.S. dollars. Also discussed are its monetary policy, price stabilization efforts, economic growth rates, response to the global crisis, problem with unequal wealth distribution, and efforts to reduce economic disparities. |
