In this article the authors discuss the U.S. policy on the deployment and expansion of the Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) system. They say that former U.S. President George W. Bush's National Security Presidential Directive 17 (NSPD-17) has guided the BMD policy beginning from 2002. They relate that U.S. President Barack Obama's administration has directed the BMD Review Report which outlines the new BMS policy. |
