Abstrakt: The article presents a study which examines the effect of upward squatting on individuals with and without patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS). The study was conducted to 16 subjects divided into two groups namely the experimental group and control group. The study reveals that squatting was effective to contain the movement in the cephalo-caudal direction and in the sagittal plane and the linear displacement of ankle, knee, hip, and shoulder has occurred mainly in the expected direction.
