Abstrakt: | The article reports on a study of denosumab, a new targeted therapy to stop bone loss, increases bone density and prevents spinal fractures in men receiving androgen-deprivation therapy for prostate cancer. Conducted by Dr. Matthew Smith and colleagues, the study is supported ay Massachusetts General Hospital with funding from the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF). According to Smith, denosumab is an important new therapy to prevent painful fractures in prostate cancer survivors. |
