The article discusses the economic trends in Costa Rica, specifically in the offshoring business. It states that the Costa Rican government has promoted foreign investment in offshoring business, which started in apparel. It says that the inward processing regime (IPR) and the export processing zones (EPZs) were employed in the offshoring activities. Meanwhile, Costa Rica's export structure has moved to non-traditional primary goods from traditional primary goods. |
