A 10-week-old infant died suddenly and unexpectedly. Histopathologic examination of the globes showed no signs of trauma but did disclose incidental bilateral, extremely prominent Schwalbe's rings (posterior embryotoxon). The authors believe this case is the largest example of posterior embryotoxon ever published and present a brief review of its associated syndromes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
