Abstrakt: The article focuses on the use of atypical femoral stress fractures in bisphosphonate -free patients. It states that atypical femoral stress fractures have unique radiographic characteristics, wherein it is transverse and is linked with diffuse or local cortical thickening called beaking. It also mentions that metabolic abnormalities that are stressed by bisphosphonates should be explored in patients who are diagnosed with bisphosphonate-associated fractures.
