The article discusses the history of Chinese Buddhism. It says that it originated from ancient India which became part of the traditional culture and became one of the pillars of Chinese community after it was brought to China. Moreover, the development of Buddhism may be divided into three phases, which started to its translation, explanation and rendition, second phase started with its innovation and development, and the third phase is the integration of Confucianism, Buddhism and Daoism. |
