Abstrakt: The article discusses a case brought by the European Commission (EC) against Portugal to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJUE) on March 6, 2008. It states that the EC declared that Portugal was breaching its obligation in terms of freedom of movement of current and capital payments and the free provision of cross-border services. However, on June 17, 2010, the court dismissed the action citing that the EC had failed to prove its case.
