Abstrakt: The article explores the development of Greek poetry for children for the periods spanning 1821 to 1970 and 1970 to 2011, in the context of the types, themes, and forms common in contemporary poetry. It mentions that children's poetry in Greece has gone through changes in form and content which may be linked to it since its early development. It cites education, economy, society, and politics as the primary factors influential in the development of children's poetry in Greece.
