The article features American author James Baldwin, who brought intellectual contribution to the U.S. It says that his job at the defense industry in Belle Meade, New Jersey exposed him to racism, discrimination, and stigma of segregation in the U.S. It mentions that Baldwin's search for identity led him to the discovery of Africa and the Third World. Moreover, Baldwin views that the U.S. could secure equality and freedom for people by analyzing the dynamics of race and racism as moral problems. |
