The article discusses the case of a 15-year-old girl presenting with dull and achy pain in the right flank. A transvaginal scan revealed a didelphic uterus with massive hematometra. She was diagnosed with Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich syndrome (HWWS), and underwent surgery to remove the longitudinal vaginal septum. The article mentions the diagnosis of HWWS is a congenital anomaly with an obstructed hemivagina and a didelphic uterus, usually associated with ureteral and ipsilateral renal agenesis. |
