The article focuses on the case of five U.S. citizens such as Waqar Hussain Khan, Ramy S. Zamzam, and Umar Farooq Chaudhry who traveled to Pakistan and were arrested for an alleged involvement of terrorism in the country. The U.S. law enforcement agencies were puzzled over the case since it appears to be the first instance of individuals being recruited via Internet to do violence in Pakistan. On March 17, 2010, those five individuals were charged with a 10-year sentence in a Pakistani jail. |
