| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses the formulation of the simulation of pressure swing adsorption (PSA) processes as a hybrid dynamic optimization problem. A brief description of a PSA process for solvent vapor recovery (SVR) is presented, along with the discretized model of the PSA process. The necessary conditions of optimality (NCO) for a hybrid system are taken through the use of the adjoint system method. Results revealed that the optimization-based simulation method is quite efficient. |
