Abstrakt:	The article presents a study on Sprague-Dawley rats to determine the adverse impact of excessive alcohol consumption during pregnancy in newborn children. It particularly assess the pentylenetetrazol (PTZ) and ethanol effects on Bax, Bcl-2 expression, as well as the protective impact of vitamin C against PTZ and apoptotic neurodegeneration in primary-cultured neuronal cells. It claims that high alcohol consumption can cause fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS).
